PANEL DISCUSSION
Music, Community & Mental Health: Reconnecting to the Why
Music is one of humanity’s oldest tools for connection, regulation, and belonging and the music industry’s greatest asset is not content, but people. At a time when 1 in 4 individuals experience anxiety or stress, this conversation reframes music as a vital social and emotional resource. Through artist, research, and industry perspectives, the panel explores how music and shared experiences from live performance to sound baths, meditation, and movement support mental wellbeing, strengthen community, and foster identity and purpose. We’ll examine how reconnecting with the “why” behind music-making can build healthier ecosystems for artists and fans alike, and how labels, managers, and brands can implement wellness-centric, community-driven strategies that support sustainable careers, deeper engagement, and a healthier industry overall.
